Who’s it for? Children three to five years old and their favorite grownups

What will you do? You and your child will get a head start on kindergarten! Share books and activities that build kindergarten skills in class and are easily practiced at home.

What will we learn? Learn kindergarten basics like letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. You and your child will also go beyond the basics to work on social and emotional skills that all children need for school.

Support for early literacy programs is provided by a grant from First Things First, which partners with families and communities to give all Arizona children the opportunity to arrive at kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. This program is designed for children birth to five years old accompanied by a favorite adult. What is your child learning? Children who love books and stories, and have opportunities to engage in active storytelling, become more successful readers.

Is your child entering kindergarten in Fall 2020? If so, join a Kindergarten Bootcamp! This interactive series meets once a week for 7 weeks and gives families a taste of kindergarten. Parents and children learn together the social, academic, and classroom skills needed for school success. Receive free tools and activities each week leading up to Bootcamp graduation.
Registration is required and by registering you agree to attend all 7 weeks. Only register with your child’s name, adult registrations are not necessary. This series meets on the following dates: September 7th, September 14th, September 21st, September 28th, October 5th, October 12th, and October 19th.
This program is only for children entering kindergarten in Fall 2020. Not entering kindergarten in Fall 2020? Check out Tools for School.
