risk. Everyone age 2 and
older visiting a city
facility, including libraries, is required to wear a mask regardless of

Is your child entering kindergarten in Fall 2021?
If so, join a Kindergarten Bootcamp Online brought to you by Phoenix Public Library! In Kindergarten Bootcamp you and your child will learn together the social, academic, and classroom skills needed for school success. This interactive series has two parts:
- A weekly pre-class video with instructions for adults and activities for adults and children to do together.
- A live WebEx class on the following dates at 9:30 am: June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 5, 12, and 19.
Registration
Only families with a child starting kindergarten in the Fall of 2021 may register. Registration is required and by registering you agree to attend all 7 WebEx sessions. Fill in the registration questions on this page and we will email you with additional required registration information.

All families will need to pick up a Kindergarten Bootcamp supply box from a Phoenix Public Library location. You will receive information about supply pick-up after you register.

Who’s it for? Wiggle worms, birth to age five, and their favorite grownups
What will you do? Some people learn better when they are moving. If that sounds like your child, this is the storytime for you! Sing, dance and MOVE in this fun, active program that builds reading skills.
What is your child learning? Children who love books and stories become better readers.

This BabyTime program will meet on Tuesday June 29th at 9:30 am. Registration is required.
Who’s it for? Grownups who want to bond with their favorite 0-2 year old in a fun, supportive environment.
What will you do? In this live, online program, an instructor will lead you in rhymes and songs that you will do face-to-face with your child. An adult must participate onscreen with their child at all times.
What will you learn? You will learn activities to engage with your child in meaningful ways. When babies have quality interactions with a loving adult, they gain confidence to learn and grow.

FRC- Sensory Exploration Activity
LENA Start Online
The LENA Start program is a 10-week workshop for parents/caregivers of babies between 0-33 months. You will use the LENA Talk Pedometer and LENA's Talking Tips to directly impact the growth in your baby’s brain.
To learn more, watch this video: What Families are Saying About LENA Start. Please note our classes will be meeting virtually. No childcare will be provided.
Classes
Each week you will:
- Learn about talk through a short video.
- Attend a live, online group session to talk about how to use the science and strategies presented.
- Use the LENA talk pedometer one day per week to count words your baby hears.
Registration
Classes are for adults only and will meet once a week for 10 weeks. Registration is required and by registering you agree to attend all 10 weeks of the series. Fill in the registration questions on this page and we will send you a link to complete the enrollment process.
Material Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Each week you will submit your LENA talk pedometer by either uploading it from your personal computer* OR returning it at one of the following library locations: Burton Barr Central Library, Agave, Cholla, Ironwood, Juniper or Palo Verde. You will receive a FREE book for your child each time you submit a talk pedometer.
*Your personal computer must meet certain technical requirements

This Family Storytime meets on Tuesday June 29th at 11:30 am.

This Tools for School program will meet on Tuesday June 29th at 4:00 pm. Registration is required.
Who’s it for? Children three to five years old and their favorite grownups. An adult must participate onscreen with their child at all times.
What will you do? In this live, online WebEx program, you and your child will get a head start on kindergarten! Share interactive books and activities that build kindergarten skills during the class and are easily practiced at home.
What will we learn? Learn kindergarten basics like letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. You and your child will also go beyond the basics to work on social and emotional skills that all children need for school.
