Event Details

Bob Allen makes art as a way to re-imagine the world and make surprising connections beyond the obvious. He likes to find a curious juxtaposition, give it another context and then create fresh & original work from it.

Dawn Conry challenges images you see in advertisements and imagines a different story. Can a teddy bear live in space? Would a shark dance ballet in the mountains? Can an ancient terracotta statue have visions of a distant future? Her intention is to let images change by helping them speak their new story. She imagine the image is asking for a change and then works to make that a reality.

Join us from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 6 for a First Friday reception with live electronic music by The Spider Institute. The reception is supported by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library.
