This workshop empowers
you to create an environment that fosters successful native bee populations in
gardens, orchards, and natural spaces. Learn about these vital pollinators
by reviewing basic information about native bees and their contribution as pollinators,
focusing on key species and their life cycles, and reviewing best plants
for native bees. Information and examples of how to make your own
native bee nest from repurposed materials will be presented so that you
can start attracting native bees in your area.
Facilitator is Bill
McGuire, a desert gardener, and native bee enthusiast. Bill in on the
Board of Directors for Native Seeds/SEARCH, a regional agricultural seed
conservation organization based in Tucson, Arizona.
