Kindergarten Bootcamp

9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
Mesquite Library
Meeting Room

This class meets on the following dates: January 23 - March 13.  February 20th will be skipped due to President's Day. Attendance is expected at all 7 classes.

Kindergarten Bootcamp gives parents tools, information, and activities to help prepare their children for school success in a fun, educational, and interactive setting. The series consists of seven sessions, 1 hour each, for 4-5 year olds who are preparing to enter kindergarten in Fall 2017 along with their parent or caregiver. Under the guidance of an early literacy specialist, parents and caregivers work with their children on foundational skills which have been demonstrated to be the most important for both a successful kindergarten and school experience. It is important that parents and children attend every session including Week 7 graduation!

Support for early literacy programs is provided by a grant from First Things First, which partners with families and communities to give all Arizona children the opportunity to arrive at kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. Learn more at FirstThingsFirstAZ.gov.
