"little addictions" by Elizabeth Howard

Friday, February 24, 2017
Burton Barr Central Library
1st Floor Gallery
These little addictions are part of a year-long challenge entitled, “a doll a day.” The project consisted of creating, photographing and posting one figure on Instagram every day during 2016. Each piece was crafted by hand using vintage and contemporary materials that combine a touch of nostalgia with a modern twist.  Some pieces were imagined with a quote in mind while others revealed their story during the creative process. They often surprised and delighted the artist as their unique personalities emerged.  First Friday reception 2/3/2017, 6:00-8:30 pm.
