Swapna Das says her art encompasses the profound belief that spirituality and creativity are intertwined. In her most recent series of charcoal drawings, she examines the Buddhist concept of Ten Worlds.

Join the artist 6:30–8 p.m. on Friday, August 4 for a First Friday reception with live music by sitarists J.J. Krayeski and Kristopher Rein from SPK Academy. The reception is supported by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM.
This class meets on the following dates: June 9th, June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, and July 21st. Attendance is expected at all 7 classes.
Kindergarten Bootcamp gives parents tools, information, and activities to help prepare their children for school success in a fun, educational, and interactive setting. The series consists of seven sessions, 1 hour each, for 4-5 year olds who are preparing to enter kindergarten in Fall 2017 along with their parent or caregiver. Under the guidance of an early literacy specialist, parents and caregivers work with their children on foundational skills which have been demonstrated to be the most important for both a successful kindergarten and school experience. It is important that parents and children attend every session including Week 7 graduation!

REGISTRACIÓN ES REQUERIDA PARA LA PARTICIPACIÓN EN ESTE PROGRAMA.
Esta clase se reunirá en las siguientes fechas: 9 de junio, 16 de junio, 23 de junio, 30 de junio, 7 de julio, 14 de julio, 21 de julio. La asistencia es requerida para cada una de las 7 clases.

Toddler Time With Sign

Toddlers have special learning needs unique from babies and preschoolers. Curiosity and conversation really blossom at this age, so we’ve created a special fast-paced storytime for two- and three-year-olds (accompanied by a favorite adult) to enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage emerging language skills in a session dedicated to active toddlers. Children and caregivers also practice Baby Sign Language, a great way to help young children develop communication skills. 
What is your child learning? Your toddler learns nine new words a day! Hearing stories, songs and rhymes helps develop your child's vocabulary. Using sign language will speed your toddler's language development by 6-12 months!
