We READ 30-day Challenge

Make reading a habit by taking the We READ 30-day challenge! Kids, birth to 12, read (or are read to) for 30 days anytime between February 1 and April 1. It's easy! Just pick up a gameboard at any Phoenix Public Library and mark off each day that children read (outside of school).

Children may visit the library for a Treasure Chest prize after 15 days and earn a free We READ t-shirt designed by a local artist after 30 days. Grown-ups who read to children for 30 days earn a free reusable tote bag (perfect for library books!)

Babies (accompanied by a favorite adult) enjoy songs, activities to promote movement, rhymes, books and playtime in each lively session. Babytime gives your baby the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other young families. What is your child learning? Hearing stories and rhymes helps your baby develop language skills.

Bilingual Family Storytime
Share books, stories, songs, rhymes and music in a fun interactive program that helps build literacy skills. This program is designed for children birth to five years old accompanied by a favorite adult. What is your child learning? Children who love books and stories, and have opportunities to engage in active storytelling, become more successful readers. Space is limited; free tickets will be handed out 30 minutes prior to the program.

Comparta libros, cuentos, canciones, rimas y música en un divertido programa interactivo que desarrolla las habilidades de alfabetización temprana. Este programa está diseñado para niños de cero a cinco años acompañados de un adulto favorito. ¿Cuál es el aprendizaje de su niño? Planning for Business: Creating Your Business Plan

Every business journey must start with a map. Participants will learn the fundamental components necessary for mapping out the steps to start or grow a business.

The Business Roadmap Program is a series of 8 start-up workshops detailing the essentials for your business. Please register for each class individually.

  1. Planning for Business: Creating Your Business Plan (current workshop)
  2. File and Register Your Business: LLC’s, EIN, Trademark and Licenses
  3. Financing for Your Business: Raising Capital, Crowd funding and Loans
  4. Setting the Right Price: Setting Fees, Price Structures and Revenue Projections
  5. Getting the Word Out: Branding, Marketing Strategy and Public Relations
  6. Treat Your Customers Right: Customer Service and Business Ethics
  7. Managing Your Team: Hiring, Team Development and Leadership Skills
