Your kids are natural scientists. You can help them discover the world, build vocabulary and master basic science concepts.

Families with children birth to 5 years old who attend Play SPOT engage in hands-on kindergarten readiness activities. Each family receives a toolkit which includes at least one book, the month’s daily at-home activities and great resources. Conscious Discipline Class for Parents - Class 1
Conscious Discipline is a research-based program by Dr. Becky Bailey proven to help adults give effective commands, understand why preschoolers "do what they do," strengthen the quality of relationships, shift focus from external rewards and punishments to problem solving, and much more. This free class for parents will be led by certified instructor Diana Brown. NOTE: This is the first of a three-class training series. Certificates will be given upon the completion of all three classes, so please register for the second class (on 8/12) and the final class (on 8/19) as well! Conscious Discipline is presented free of charge in conjunction with the Deer Valley Family Resource Center with support from First Things First.
