Summer Reading Game
Play the  Summer Reading Game June 1 - August 1 at your neighborhood library. Register online at maricopacountyreads.org or pick up a gameboard at your library. Earn 1 point for every minute of reading! Earn more points for attending fun-filled library events or participating in challenges. At 500 points, earn a Chipotle coupon (while supplies last). At 1,000 points, earn a free book of your choice. Plus, kids receive free Peter Piper Pizza coupons, ribbons and medals AND the first 3,000 children ages 5-11 to sign up in the library receive a free digital reading timer!
NEW this year! All children who reach 1,000 points will be entered into a GRAND PRIZE drawing for a year-long family membership at one of our fabulous cultural institutions (including the Phoenix Zoo, the Children's Museum, the Arizona Science Center, and the Phoenix Art Museum) -- 14 memberships will be awarded!

Baby Time with Sign

Babies (accompanied by a favorite adult) enjoy songs, activities to promote movement, rhymes, books and playtime in each lively session. Babies and caregivers also are introduced to Baby Sign Language, a wonderful way to grow babies’ communication skills. BabyTime gives your baby the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other families with young children. What is your child learning? Hearing stories and rhymes helps your baby develop language skills. Using sign language speeds babies’ language development. #pplstorytime #babytimewithsign

AAA Permit Prep Challenge

Itching to get your drivers permit and the keys to the family car? Make Mom and Dad feel good about the decision to let you drive by bringing them to AAA’s Permit Prep Challenge. Not only will it help you ace your permit test, it will also reassure the parental units that you’re ready to drive. The 90-minute program is free and fun – the game-show-style format covers the Graduated Driver Licensing law, learning-to-drive tools and resources, and an overview of the Arizona Driver’s License Manual. Teens must attend with a parent or guardian. Reservations are required (please register for each member of the family that is attending). #permitprep
