Summer Reading Game
Play the online summer reading game June 1 through August 1. Sign up at maricopacountyreads.org Earn 1 point for every minute of reading, plus additional points for earning event and activity badges. At 250 points, every reader earns a free food coupon from Chipotle or Raising Cane. At 500 points, every reader earns a free book of their choice. Children ages 6-11 who sign up at the library will receive a free digital reading timer (limited to first 10,000 readers) and kids who read 20 minutes a day will be eligible for fabulous weekly drawing prizes. Reading over the summer is fun, and it keeps your brain tuned up. So discover your inner hero this summer and crack a book! #everyherohasastory

Become a Desert Hero with the Science Center on Wheels:

Imagine a world where every human respects and values the environment. We will interact with and find a new appreciation for Arizona's desert landscape as we read Not a Stick, categorize found items, and create a natural material masterpiece to take home. This program is mainly for children 3-8, but all ages are welcome to join in this and other activities such as

balloon twisting, help with online registration for the summer reading program, and more. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, Century Chapter.
