Food for Fines
Pay your library fees and help restock the pantries of Valley food banks. During "Food for Fines," 50 cents will be deducted from your library fees for each non-perishable food item donated. Fees up to $75 may be paid with donated food. Perishable, expired, beyond sell by date and homemade food items will not be accepted. Donated food will be distributed to St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance and Desert Mission Food Bank.

Up, Up and Away! Celebrate Free Comic Book Day at Century Library! Dress up as your favorite comic book character and join us for Superhero-themed activities, including learning how to juggle after watching a juggling performance by James Reid. There will also be crafts, free comic books, and refreshments. This program is sponsored by the Century Library chapter of the Friends of the Phoenix Library with free comic books provided by Samurai Comics.

What can you make with wire and junk mail? Join the Junk Lady, Shari Keith, at our DIY Jewelry workshop and find out! Craft a fashionable and one-of-a-kind bracelet out of wire and beads fashioned from junk mail. Learn the basics of using wire to make jewelry and have some fun at the same time. This workshop is free and all materials will be provided. Participation is limited to the first 20 attendees. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, Century Branch Chapter.
