We READ 30-day Challenge

Make reading a habit by taking the We READ 30-day challenge! Kids, birth to 12, read (or are read to) for 30 days anytime between February 1 and April 1. It's easy! Just pick up a gameboard at any Phoenix Public Library and mark off each day that children read (outside of school).

Children may visit the library for a Treasure Chest prize after 15 days and earn a free We READ t-shirt designed by a local artist after 30 days. Grown-ups who read to children for 30 days earn a free reusable tote bag (perfect for library books!)

Fashions of Downton Abbey
Do you love the clothing worn in the popular PBS Masterpiece series, Downton Abbey? The Phoenix Art Museum’s Fashion Design Department will present a program examining the glamorous fashions of the aristocratic Crawleys and the functional clothing of the staff. They will highlight the significance the enormous social changes experienced before, during and after World War I had on fashion. The presentation will include photographs from the Phoenix Art Museum’s world-class collection and illustrations from period fashion magazines. Tickets are not required to attend the program but seating is limited.
