We READ 30-day Challenge 2/1/2016 12:00:00 AM
We READ 30-day Challenge
Make reading a habit by taking the challenge to read 20 minutes a day for 30 days. Pick up a We READ gameboard at any Phoenix Public Library and start the challenge between February 1 and March 1. You have until April 1 to finish.

Children who complete the challenge earn a free We READ t-shirt (includes little ones who are read to). Grownups who read to their children also earn a reusable tote bag (perfect for checking out library books!) Reading together with your children is one of the best things you can do to get them off to the right start in school and life. It's easy and fun and doesn't cost a dime.

Check the online calendar for #weread special events in February and March. We READ is sponsored by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Phoenix Public Library Foundation.

Toddler Time 2/10/2016 11:30:00 AM
Toddler Time
Toddlers have special learning needs unique from babies and preschoolers. Curiosity and conversation really blossom at this age, so we’ve created a special fast-paced storytime for two- and three-year-olds (accompanied by a favorite adult) to enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage emerging language skills in a session dedicated to active toddlers.
What is your child learning? Your toddler learns nine new words a day! Hearing stories, songs and rhymes helps develop your child's vocabulary.

Space is limited; free tickets will be handed out 30 minutes prior to program.

Storytimes at Agave Library are supported by a grant from First Things First Phoenix North Region.
