We READ 30-day Challenge

Make reading a habit by taking the We READ 30-day challenge! Kids, birth to 12, read (or are read to) for 30 days anytime between February 1 and April 1. It's easy! Just pick up a gameboard at any Phoenix Public Library and mark off each day that children read (outside of school).

Children may visit the library for a Treasure Chest prize after 15 days and earn a free We READ t-shirt designed by a local artist after 30 days. Grown-ups who read to children for 30 days earn a free reusable tote bag (perfect for library books!)

This program is designed for children birth to five years old accompanied by a favorite adult. What is your child learning? Children who love books and stories become more successful readers. Comparta libros, cuentos, canciones, rimas y música en un divertido programa interactivo que desarrolla las habilidades de alfabetización temprana. Este programa está diseñado para niños de cero a cinco años acompañados de un adulto favorito. ¿Cuál es el aprendizaje de su niño? Los niños que aman los libros y las historias se convierten en lectores más exitosos. Storytimes at Acacia Library are supported by a grant from First Things First Phoenix North Region.
