Bilingual Kindergarten Bootcamp

This class will be taught in English and Spanish.

Clases serán bilingües

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM.  

This class meets on the following dates: April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28, June 4, and June 11.  Attendance is expected at all 7 classes.

Kindergarten Bootcamp gives parents tools, information, and activities to help prepare their children for school success in a fun, educational, and interactive setting. The series consists of seven sessions, 1 hour each, for children who are preparing to enter kindergarten in Fall 2016 along with their parent or caregiver. Under the guidance of an early literacy specialist, parents and caregivers work with their children on foundational skills which have been demonstrated to be the most important for both a successful kindergarten and school experience. It is important that parents and children attend every session including Week 7 graduation!

REGISTRACIÓN ES REQUERIDA PARA LA PARTICIPACIÓN EN ESTE PROGRAMA. 

Esta clase se reunirá en las siguientes fechas: 30 de abril, 7 de mayo, 14 de mayo, 21 de mayo, 28 de mayo, 4 de junio y 11 de junio. La asistencia es requerida para cada una de las 7 clases. 

Kindergarten Bootcamp da a los padres herramientas, información y actividades para ayudar y preparar a sus hijos para el éxito escolar en un ambiente divertido, educativo e interactivo. La serie consta de 7 sesiones de 1 hora cada una, para niños que se están preparando para entrar al kindergarten, en el otoño 2016, junto con sus padres o cuidadores. Padres bajo la guía de un especialista en aprendizaje infantil trabajaran con sus hijos sobre habilidades fundamentales escolares que han demostrado ser importantes para una experiencia escolar exitosa. ¡Es importante que los padres e hijos asistan a cada sesión incluyendo a la graduación en la séptima semana!

Two-year-olds (accompanied by a favorite adult) enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage emerging language skills in a session dedicated to active toddlers.  Children and caregivers also practice Baby Sign Language, a great way to help young children develop communication skills.  What is your child learning?  Your toddler learns nine new words a day!  Hearing stories, songs and rhymes helps develop your child's vocabulary.  Using sign language will speed your toddler's language development by 6-12 months!  #pplstorytime #toddlertimewithsign
