Summer Reading Game
Play the online summer reading game June 1 through August 1. Sign up at maricopacountyreads.org Earn 1 point for every minute of reading, plus additional points for earning event and activity badges. At 250 points, every reader earns a free food coupon from Chipotle or Raising Cane. At 500 points, every reader earns a free book of their choice. Children ages 6-11 who sign up at the library will receive a free digital reading timer (limited to first 10,000 readers) and kids who read 20 minutes a day will be eligible for fabulous weekly drawing prizes. Reading over the summer is fun, and it keeps your brain tuned up. So discover your inner hero this summer and crack a book! #everyherohasastory

Are you starting a new business? Thinking about it? This session is an essential first step in developing a business plan that will increase your chances of success.
Should you start your business now? Where? How? What about needed money? Experienced business owners and managers will address these questions and help you start ​on the best path for your business. Presenters include SCORE mentors Dave Miller, Bill Robinson, ​Roger Robinson and Doug Whitney.

The ASU Startup School is a comprehensive and proven framework for developing ventures. ASU Startup School is a series of facilitated workshops wherein entrepreneurs learn what they need to do in order to develop a successful venture. The ASU Startup School workshops are delivered in a sequence of continuing education modules, organized in three stages. Stage 1 will be hosted at hive @ central, which will be Ideation Active learning modules and workshops for entrepreneurs that are refining initial problems/solutions and learning how to frame your business model.


All classes provided by Arizona Women’s Education and Entrepreneur Center (AWEEc) a partner of the U.S. Small Business Association, with funding provided by the City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department.

Come join us for our Lego Brick Building Club! We meet the 1st Sunday of every month in the Children's Place Storyroom. Children 5-11 years of age and their friends and family are welcome. Lego Bricks are provided and your Lego Masterpieces will be put on display in the Children's Place for all the world to see! 
Lego Brick Donations from the community are accepted.

Babytime
This storytime accomodates children birth to 23 months accompanied by a caregiver. Have fun sharing books, fingerplays, songs and more. Learn tips to build a foundation for early literacy. Community playtime follows the program. Space is limited to the first 15 babies (and their grownups). Babies (accompanied by a favorite adult) enjoy songs, activities to promote movement, rhymes, books and playtime in each lively session. Babytime gives your baby the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other young families. What is your child learning? Hearing stories and rhymes helps your baby develop language skills. Space is limited to the first 15 babies (and their grownups).

St. Mary's Food Bank in Cooperation with Phoenix Public Library - provides daily afternoon snacks Monday thru Friday with an acompanying STEM activity. Ages 0-18 are welcome. Sorry No Adults provided any snacks. Program is foused on providing a nourishing daily snack with an accompanied STEM activity: Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
