Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects
Visit the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (AZASLA) exhibit which showcases various Arizona sites designed by local Landscape Architects.The projects range from residential and general design, to planning and analysis. The exhibit also includes student projects from both Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.

The exhibit runs Monday, May 11th through Sunday, June 7th in the Hive Gallery, located on the 2nd floor of Burton Barr Central Library.

Summer Reading Game
Play the online summer reading game June 1 through August 1. Sign up at maricopacountyreads.org Earn 1 point for every minute of reading, plus additional points for earning event and activity badges. At 250 points, every reader earns a free food coupon from Chipotle or Raising Cane. At 500 points, every reader earns a free book of their choice. Children ages 6-11 who sign up at the library will receive a free digital reading timer (limited to first 10,000 readers) and kids who read 20 minutes a day will be eligible for fabulous weekly drawing prizes. Reading over the summer is fun, and it keeps your brain tuned up. So discover your inner hero this summer and crack a book!

Come join us for our Lego Brick Building Club! We meet the 1st Sunday of every month in the Children's Place Storyroom. Children 5-11 years of age and their friends and family are welcome. Lego Bricks are provided and your Lego Masterpieces will be put on display in the Children's Place for all the world to see! 
Lego Brick Donations from the community are accepted.

Babytime
This storytime accomodates children birth to 23 months accompanied by a caregiver. Have fun sharing books, fingerplays, songs and more. Learn tips to build a foundation for early literacy. Community playtime follows the program. Space is limited to the first 15 babies (and their grownups). Babies (accompanied by a favorite adult) enjoy songs, activities to promote movement, rhymes, books and playtime in each lively session. Babytime gives your baby the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other young families. What is your child learning? Hearing stories and rhymes helps your baby develop language skills. Space is limited to the first 15 babies (and their grownups).
